There’s no reception here, so you handle everything by phone. They text you the room number and the codes for both the front entrance and your room. The place was quiet and really clean, with a kitchen stocked with what you need. I think there are shops nearby. If you’re fine with self-service, it works well.

I had a nice stay. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the beach is close by.

This was the sketchiest place I’ve ever walked into. Don’t book it. I’d have felt safer under a bridge.

My daughter and I arrived around 10 at night after traveling all day, and she was scared on an unfamiliar street. We needed a shower before my cruise the next day, but I wasn’t going to use a shared space or have my 15-year-old daughter do that. I saw two men going inside, and neither of us felt safe staying there. I never went into the house, so I can’t say how clean it was or what the rooms looked like. I only know you enter a room with a coded door. The listing called it Fauna Bizcaya and presented it as a hotel, but it was a house with shared common areas, no front desk, and no staff. Nothing in the listing mentioned Airbnb or shared spaces. That false advertising was my issue. I called the property and got no answer. They texted later, but after I explained my concerns, the property manager never replied. My phone was nearly dead, so I had to take another Lyft to a local fast food place. I’d paid for a stay of maybe 10 hours, and because it was last minute I couldn’t book another hotel. The cheapest one I found was $208, which I couldn’t afford. I charged my phone at a KFC, paid for another Lyft back to the airport, and rented a car using rental points I was lucky to have, though I didn’t want to use them for this. My daughter and I ended up sleeping in the car at a gas station. If I could give this zero stars, I would.
