Super 8 by Wyndham Goldsboro

It wasn't the worst stay, but it wasn't the best either. The pictures online were misleading, and the room didn't look like them. Some lights were decoys, with their wires cut so they couldn't be plugged in. The beds at least were clean and unstained, but the water never warmed up, so we all had cold showers. A door connected to the next room, and painters tape was the only thing covering it. It was locked, so nobody could get through, but it was still concerning. At night there was lots of noise, with yelling, screaming, and things being slammed around. I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids who need quiet to sleep. For a one-night stay it wasn't too bad for me, but I won't come back.

The room reeked of smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking, and no air freshener or ventilation made it comfortable. It also hadn't been properly cleaned or maintained. There were stains on the desk, no sheets on the bed, a loose, leaking faucet, stains in the toilet, and marks on a towel that made it unusable. Food from a previous guest was still in the refrigerator, and there wasn't a trash can in the room. I complained at the front desk and expected an apology and a refund, but staff were dismissive, showed no concern, and refused to return my money. Management also wouldn't refund me. This was a miserable stay at the Super 8 in Goldsboro, NC, one of the worst I've had, and the conditions felt unlivable and unsafe. Dirty rooms, missing basics, stained linens, and leftover food are a health and hospitality issue, not a minor inconvenience. The lack of care and accountability is appalling. I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

This was a waste of money and my first and last day of the weekend trip. Right when we walked in, the bathroom was still dirty, with a used rag above the shower and hair in the sink. We had to keep going downstairs for more towels, and those were dirty too. The front desk guy was extremely rude. I booked online, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We enjoyed the room and had good service, but there are renovations going on, so keep that in mind. I hadn't known there would be a $50 deposit when we arrived.
