Moose Brook Motel

We spent two nights here. The room was dated, but in a pleasant vintage way, and it was clean and comfortable. Even though the motel is right by the highway, it was very quiet. The location is nice and close to things to do.

After staying the night, I woke up with bites in several places, including my arms and torso. They looked to me like bed bug bites, and days later they were still itching. This was the only place I'd been, so I called the property to report it. They said they check and that it couldn't possibly happen, and didn't seem to take my concern seriously. My only other contact had been paying. I'm warning other travelers, and hope I didn't accidentally bring any back.

The walls are thin, and you can hear the neighbors, so light sleepers may want earplugs or white noise. Parking is a bit tight too, and backing into a space might make it easier to get out. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, while the owner and employees were especially friendly and helpful. It's a small place with several nicely sized rooms and an on-site pool. Stores, places to eat, and nature spots like Mt Washington are just a few minutes away. Prices were very reasonable.

I was a little worried after checking in because there is no AC, but the room stayed comfortable in the evenings, even on hot days. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, and daily service was excellent. The owners were friendly and accommodating, and the housekeepers were efficient and friendly too. I'd gladly stay again if I get the chance.
