We only got a couple of hours of sleep before having to hit the road, so it's highly unlikely we'll stay here again. We had been trying to sleep since midnight, but a group in the pool area kept laughing and yelling until 3:54am. My husband went to complain at 3:11am, and the front desk said he was the third person to report the group. Why hadn't anything been done? Our confirmed reservation was for a poolside room, but the desk first put us in a second-floor room. When we asked why, the associate said their computer system had changed the reservation for some reason. We did eventually get a poolside room, but maybe we shouldn't have.

Check-in went smoothly, one of the better parts of our stay. By 9 a.m., breakfast was supposed to run until 10, but there was very little replenished and not many options left. The lounge was a letdown too. Brittany was rude and unwelcoming, never greeted us, and made us feel like a nuisance. With only about 10 people there, she still wouldn't refill drinks, took her tip money and went to play slots while on the clock. The property itself feels worn and poorly maintained and needs a thorough cleaning or renovation.

I ended up leaving and waiting in a bathroom stall for over 3 hours because I felt uncomfortable and didn't want to be kicked out or have the cops called and be forced to stand in the cold. There was a storm, and my ride was delayed after sliding off the highway, so I had to wait somewhere warm in the nearest hotel lobby. A woman with dark brown/black hair and an accent, possibly the owner's wife or the boss, came over and said I couldn't sit there and had to leave. I explained that there was a storm and nowhere else I could wait. With a nasty attitude, she asked, “well then when are they coming”. I wasn't bothering anyone. The woman at the front was very kind, and I made sure to explain why I was sitting there waiting for my ride. Six stars to the employees! I wish I could give that other woman zero stars, but that's not an option, so I'll give one. This is not the Hamptons, so I don't know why she acted like it was.

I booked one bed but was “upgraded” to a room by the pool with 2 queen beds, apparently because it helped them out. It's pretty loud there, and there's a table beside the glass door window to my room, so I can hear people's conversations clearly. I wonder if the other room was even dirtier. The photos and reviews on Expedia looked good, but I should've checked other sites too. The place is quite dirty: little chips by the bed and curtains, dark short curly hair on the bathroom floor, and dried food on the night table where I'd just put my phone down. The sheets look clean, but the counters and floor clearly haven't been properly wiped or vacuumed. That's my biggest issue, and it makes me worry about using the pool, hot tub, or even taking a shower. I was only here one night and don't want to come back.

We booked almost 6 months ahead for a family reunion, but when we arrived they said they couldn't honor the reservation. After some arguing, they made it work, but instead of two conjoining rooms with two queen beds, we got one room with two queens and another with a king. That didn't work for our group, so we needed a cot, which added 15 dollars to the bill. We also paid almost 700 dollars for two nights in joined rooms, even though the rooms were listed at 138 online. When the kids spilled on their sheets, we asked for clean ones so we could make the beds ourselves, but the desk said they couldn't give us sheets because “I don't know what that entails”. At check-in, we heard the desk tell room service to quickly swap trash bags and make beds for a new guest. The building entrances were like saunas with no airflow, the windows looked unwashed for years, there were dead bugs in the light fixtures, and there were no elevators for wheelchairs or strollers. The pool skylights were three different shades, and the pool felt more like a big hot tub. Our room's air conditioner ran all weekend and lowered the temperature maybe 5-10 degrees. Breakfast was probably the only good thing. This was an absolute nightmare of a weekend, and everything I've described is true.
