Working as a photobooth operator with Complete Weddings & Events, I’ve found Timberlake Lodge to be a flexible, well-equipped place for weddings and events. Its Northwoods lodge style feels warm and welcoming, with rustic charm alongside modern amenities. There’s room for large weddings as well as smaller, more intimate moments, and the layout works well for entertainment and keeps guests moving through the evening. Having event staff and a coordinator helps keep everything on schedule. With the event center, catering, and lodging all together, it’s convenient for guests and vendors. A spacious, full-service venue with a cozy Minnesota feel.

When I photograph weddings for Complete Weddings + Events at Timberlake Lodge, I appreciate how smoothly the layout works for the day. There are nice indoor and outdoor portrait options, too. It’s a welcoming place where couples and guests seem comfortable, and that comes through in the photos.

The rooms are large, clean, and well kept, with walk-in showers. There’s an indoor pool and hot tub, and breakfast in the morning is fresh and hot. They even use real silverware, plates, and coffee cups. Great place to stay!

Rooms were clean and comfortable, but the two floors weren’t alike. The first night, we had a great, spacious double Queen room on the second floor with a modern TV. We were there for work and checked out when we thought we were finished, but had to come back for one more night. The first-floor room we got then was much smaller, and its TV was tiny, outdated, and barely worked. Very nice place otherwise.

The staff were very nice, the breakfast was good, and the restaurant food was great. The restaurant staff were friendly, too, and the beds were comfortable. But the room itself felt dated. There’s no cable TV, and the WiFi didn’t work. Since all the TVs use Roku streaming, I think that may have taken away the WiFi. That made things tough on a business trip. The AC and heat units are also really loud.
