Inn Express

There’s not much else at this exit beyond a gas station and convenience store, and breakfast isn’t offered. The pool is closed, though there’s plenty of coffee in the lobby. The owners are working hard to make this mom-and-pop place special, and they’ll do what they reasonably can to help. It’s very clean and quiet despite being just off the highway. The beds are new and comfortably medium-firm. Rooms have fresh paint, cinder block walls, new vinyl plank floors, and bathrooms that appear to have new tubs, toilets, and tile. Ask at check-in if you need a coffee maker, since they stopped leaving them in rooms after guests stole them.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. What really stood out was how caring and accommodating the staff were. When we were in a difficult spot because of awful weather and road conditions, they helped us and made sure we had somewhere safe to stay. Best hotel experience I’ve had. I wish I could give them ten stars.

There’s basically nothing around for about 20 miles except a gas station, which was my only complaint and isn’t the hotel’s fault. The place may not look like much from outside, but the room was clean, with nice clean sheets, an updated feel, and a comfortable bed. The gentleman at the desk was friendly and helpful. It also looks like they’re continuing to work on updates.

It’s a quiet, easy stop right off the interstate, with plenty of parking and dog-friendly rooms. The rooms feel clean and homey, with big windows that let in natural light, and there’s no fuss or hassle. It’s not a Hampton inn, but I got more than I expected for the price. Seems like a good fit for a family on the road, someone traveling for work who wants quiet, or a trucker. Great if you’re bringing dogs, too.
