Hilton Garden Inn Florence Cincinnati Airport South

The property looks fairly new and was in pretty good shape. Our room was clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There are restaurants and basic shopping nearby, and I felt safe walking my dog with us there. We had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn located in Florence Kentucky.

I was worn out from driving and pulled in for the night. Manoj at the desk was so friendly and helpful, and really went out of his way to get me checked in and settled. I’ve stayed at a lot of Hiltons, and this is one of the nicest stays I’ve had. The room was clean and quiet, with sweet little touches: toilet paper folded into bow ties, roses on the tissue boxes, and hand towels twisted into flowers. I stayed at the Waldorf last November and don’t remember being as impressed by those details there. I’ll plan to stay here again when I’m coming this way.

The room was clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The shower pressure was good, and the gym was decent. Felicia at the front desk was pleasant and took the time to notice my daughter. The outdoor pool area was clean and very nice, though there were bugs and some sand in the pool. The dirty lobby rug was a rough first impression and didn’t match how clean the rest of the hotel was. The pancakes at breakfast were good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the stay and had no issues. A solid four-star hotel, and we’d come back.

I booked one night, but they changed the reservation to two and charged me for both, even after I spoke with them to confirm I’d already checked out. The staff were rude, condescending, and disrespectful. I’ve stayed at hundreds of Hilton hotels over the years and never had such a bad customer experience. The GM was a complete jerk, so I’m not surprised the staff were rude too. Terrible experience. If I could give zero stars, I would.
