North Country Lodge

We were impressed for our first stay, especially with how clean room 114 was and how comfortable the beds felt. The owners were friendly, attentive, and awesome. We sat on the balcony last night watching cars go by, lol. It got us out of the room for a while to enjoy a cocktail outside 😊😋. I’d highly recommend this place.

We had plenty of towels, and they were soft and fluffy; the sheets were soft too. The room with the jacuzzi tub was clean, spacious, and gave us room to relax. The table and chairs were comfortable, though the bed felt a bit stiff. The tub helped make up for that. Looking forward to coming back!

For a budget priced, privately owned motel, the room was clean and the staff were easy to work with. I felt fine walking around barefoot, the linens were fresh, and I had no concerns about bed bugs. The towels were especially nice, soft, fluffy, and white. The fridge and microwave were clean too. We were on the top floor of the back building, and it was quiet. The room was very large, if that matters to you, and the air conditioner was quiet. There’s a ceiling fan as well. It is dated, as expected. The bed was firm, and I couldn’t feel the springs, though I prefer a softer, plush bed. My main issue was the size: at 5'1", even with a second pillow, my feet stuck out past the bottom. The towels still get an A++ from me.

The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to tell us about places to visit while we were on our first family vacation here. Later they saw us coming back and asked if we’d made it to any of their suggestions. They even brought extra blankets down for the kids after overhearing our son say he hoped there’d be a soft one, and there was coffee in the morning too. Great room and a great place. We’ll always come back!
