Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Great Barrington Lenox/Berkshires

The location is really convenient, though not picturesque, and the managers are kind and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with great lighting. I especially liked having a mini fridge and microwave, both very useful. Everything you need at a very reasonable rate.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms reasonably priced, and the couple running the place seemed nice. They should know what needs fixing. We found a spider in the bathroom on both of our visits, once in '24 and again in '25. That makes us wonder whether the housekeeper is using cleaning products that keep insects away. My loved one couldn't manage the step up into the room, so it needs steps. Some work around a shower pipe was unfinished, and the heater was loud and difficult to regulate.

There isn't breakfast, but there are plenty of places to eat within half a mile. The front desk clerk was pleasant and efficient. This is a classic motel with no extra amenities, just a clean bed and bathroom for the right price. Our bed was firm, not saggy, the bathroom worked without leaky faucets or quirky valves, and the heating and cooling ran quietly.

For a clean place to stay, this is very good value. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the owner, Berivan,sp?, was friendly and welcoming.
