McConnell Inn

The master suite upstairs felt almost like having a little apartment of our own. We loved the jacuzzi and the small living room/movie theater, and all the knickknacks and antiques gave the place so much character and a homey feel. My fiancé and I came for a quick getaway and had an amazing time. It’s right by the lake, with a gorgeous view and a very peaceful atmosphere.

We celebrated our anniversary in this lovely little town, a good place to disconnect. The hosts made us feel at home, and the accommodations were extremely clean. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast wasn’t really our style of cooking, but otherwise we loved this well-kept Victorian home, especially the original woodwork and grand staircase.

The room was cozy and clean, and breakfast delivered to us was fantastic. I liked not knowing what the meal would be and getting to try new things. Our original plans fell through, so my husband and I made a last-minute booking for a weekend away. The location was great, and we felt welcome despite the unusual Covid rules. Mary-Jo texted ideas for things to do since there wasn’t much chance to talk in person. We love B&Bs and small Wisconsin towns, and this is on our list to visit again.

MaryJo and Scott were warm and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. We even came away with ideas for feeding guests at our own home. I grew up in Green Lake and recently returned for a trip down memory lane, staying at McConnell Inn. Restoring that beautiful old house clearly took a lot of care, right down to the antiques and details. It was a great experience, and I can’t wait to come back.
