Park View Inn

I didn’t choose this place myself. The tub was stained, the floor and crevices were filthy, there was mold, and the box springs had stains. You could hear every conversation and every time someone used water. The other guests seemed questionable, and I wondered if some kind of entertainment business was being run from a room.

We’d been on the road for a long time and needed somewhere affordable, but the shady characters around the property put us off. As we were leaving, several police cars arrived. Keep looking, and don’t trust the positive reviews. This place should be shut down. I’d give it negative 10 stars if I could.

We left quickly and continued down the road to find somewhere more welcoming. We’d stopped hoping to get a cheap room after seeing decent reviews, though I’m not sure how it got them. While we were there, several police cars pulled into the lot and the residents scattered. If this is all you can afford, at least it’s a roof over your head, but otherwise I’d move on.

The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it smelled like Swisher Sweets, and the sheets had black flecks on them when I checked. I booked it through Hotwire for $68, then walked away from my $67. Probably the right call. I couldn’t spend the night feeling grossed out.
