I had a reservation and arrived around 11:30 p.m., but nobody was at the window. I called and rang the bell without getting an answer. After about 10 minutes, the front desk clerk pulled into the lot in a car, so she hadn’t even been at the hotel. The room smelled of smoke despite the no-smoking policy. The price was a little high, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We found bugs in the room and the sheets were dirty. The manager first refused a refund, claiming they’d never had bug complaints, though plenty show up in the reviews. They suggested the “premium rooms are better” and have “no bugs,” but I have a newborn and wasn’t willing to risk it. The manager still denied the refund until I spoke directly on the phone. We hadn’t signed anything saying refunds weren’t allowed, so they eventually refunded us.

I had to book a week at the last minute for work and was unsure because of the earlier reviews, but the location is great and the area felt safe. The place is well lit at night, there’s daily cleaning, and Waffle House is in the same parking lot. The cleaning isn’t perfect, but they do their best. For the price, you can’t beat it. I’d stay again.

I only came to pick up a client and didn’t stay, but I saw crews working on renovations.
