Wyndham Garden Greensboro

I stay here often, and it’s an okay place overall. The front desk staff and housekeepers are friendly, and getting to the freeway is easy. The area feels sketchy, though, so stay aware when walking to your car at night. Coopers Ale house is attached, but it’s overpriced. The rooms are dated and could use a proper remodel.

The gym could use some attention, but the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is fresh, and the lobby and hallways smell pleasant and fresh. It’s close to the highway and fun attractions, with shopping within 3 miles. This Whyndam hotel is wonderful, and it’s the ONLY place I wanna stay when I visit GSO.

I didn’t research properly before booking, so that’s on me. For a bargain stay, this place is fine if you go in with bargain expectations. I only needed one night, thankfully. The ice maker was broken and nasty, the breakfast wasn’t good, and the front desk staff were efficient but unfriendly. There was no waffle machine. I should’ve taken more bacon instead of the potatoes, which looked tempting but weren’t good. I cleaned the bathroom myself instead of calling housekeeping. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

I’ve traveled at least 20 weeks a year for 25 years, staying everywhere from 6 Star resorts down to the top five wall of shame winners. The people at Wyndham Garden Inn at 415 South Spring Street, Greensboro NC 27409 earned my business by taking the time to understand my situation and make things a little easier. I arrived after an unfortunate personal matter, and the team was professional, welcoming, and genuinely compassionate. Even though they were fully booked, they let me check in early on Monday. I’d already booked another hotel for that night, but their kindness and professionalism impressed me so much that I stayed at the Wyndham Garden Inn and let the $67 I’d paid elsewhere go. That level of care is rare and meant a lot to me. They represent the best of the Wyndham brand. Also, a big shout out to Cooper’s Ale House, attached to the hotel. The staff are great, the food is great, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality. Definitely give them a shot!
