Baumann's Brookside Resort

My family has been coming here for about four years, and we all love it. My son and his cousins look forward to going every year. The food and staff are great.

The kids had a blast on their first visit, and I always feel at home here. They make you comfortable and take care of you. I'd definitely get a group of friends and other families together to come. You won't regret it.

We used to go to another resort in NY, but after it closed, my mother found this place and talked our group of 15 into trying it. The first stay had plenty of problems: my door wouldn't lock, the air conditioner was broken, and ants got into and ruined the snacks I brought within the first day. Dinner offered only two choices, beef and pork or something with beans, and many people in our group didn't eat either. I was often hungry because there wasn't much variety. The next year, my sister got her dream nursing job and had to train, so we couldn't make the dates. Half the group still went, and we canceled our room six months ahead. The year after that, we wanted to return despite the earlier issues, but my mother called and the owner refused to rent us a room because we'd canceled that one year. My mother had been the one to arrange the original Bowman’s stay. The owner was rude, and the way we were treated was ridiculous.

There are two small lakes and a lovely green area where you can sit and relax peacefully. The administration was kind and understanding, and I had a great time there.
