Rodeway Inn Millennium

The front desk guy worked hard to help us find a suitable room, but we had to move three times. The first room didn't seem properly cleaned, and in the second and third the AC units were open to the outside. The floor felt damp. The hotel looks updated overall, but the hallway carpet badly needs cleaning and stain removal. They really need to cover those AC units.

We were happy they accept CLC for corporate lodging, and otherwise the stay was good. The bed was very comfortable and the room fairly clean. The building seems to be getting updates, though the bathroom didn't look as new as the rest. The shower drained so slowly that I was standing in a couple inches of water, and the vents were quite dusty. One thing to know, it's tucked behind or beside a car lot, so it's hard to spot from the road.

Finding the hotel was difficult because it's tucked behind a car dealership. When we arrived, the lobby smelled like smoke, even though the building is advertised as smoke-free, and people were smoking right outside the door. The young man at check-in was nice, but the building and rooms didn't seem as clean as they should have, with carpet stains throughout. Breakfast wasn't self-serve, a woman served guests. I saw her sit outside smoking, come in with her cigarette, set it under the counter, and touch all the plates before telling me she'd serve me. She pulled gloves from her pocket and didn't wash her hands. Management needs to take a closer look at the property. I won't return or recommend it.

My stay was fine. I slept well, there wasn't noise, the sheets looked and smelled clean, and the bathroom and rest of the room were fine. The front desk staff were laid-back but helpful. I understand why some people rated it one to three stars. The outside isn't inviting, and even after visiting several times I've nearly missed the turn because the sign is hard to see and the motel sits behind car lots. Four stars because the price is too high for a spot like this.
