Baymont by Wyndham Grovetown Augusta

Breakfast was where the stay went downhill. At 7:30 a.m. the eggs were gone, the sausage seemed plastic, the biscuits were rock hard, and the watered-down juice tasted awful. When we asked the front desk man to refill the waffle batter, he did that and walked away without checking anything else. I stopped eating and went back upstairs. Earlier, check-in around 8:30 p.m. had been friendly and courteous, and the room was surprisingly clean and smelled nice. The bed was comfortable and I slept well, though I wished the pillows were larger. It’s a clean place at a fairly affordable price, but free breakfast shouldn’t leave guests feeling shortchanged. Four stars from me.

We’ll definitely stay here again. The rooms were quiet, clean, modern, and had comfortable beds. The soap dispensers are a nice touch and avoid those soggy bars on the counter. Staff were very friendly, and the gym had all the basics. Breakfast included waffles, egg sandwiches, and more. Room cleaning and towel changes happen daily automatically, or as needed.

We chose the Baymont by Marriott in Augusta, Georgia for our 13th wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be a great choice. It’s just off the highway, easy to reach, with plenty of dining and places to visit nearby. The room was quiet, comfortable, and clean, and the sheets were so good I almost thought about packing them. The breakfast bar had a good selection and was well kept. They also accommodated us with a first-floor room, which made things much more comfortable. Ms. Chastity was kind, attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. Ms. Dana was just as helpful and caring at checkout. Both clearly take pride in their work. The personal attention from the ownership and staff made us feel valued in a way that can be missing at large chains. Clean, quiet, and welcoming, with people who care. Five stars.

The hotel was clean, well lit, and quiet, and our room was super clean too. Ms. Chasity took care of check-in and Ms. Dana handled checkout. Both were courteous and professional. We’ll be back soon!
