Surrey Resort

Being a few blocks from downtown Guerneville made it easy to walk to restaurants, bars, thrift shops, and little art galleries. Still, you’d hardly know you were in town, since the property feels tucked away. It was beautiful and peaceful, with flowers and greenery everywhere, and felt cozy as soon as we arrived. We stayed in the Fab+ tent. There was plenty of space, a comfy bed, and a heated blanket that made the nights so comfortable. Each tent has its own outdoor setup, with porch chairs and a table, lounge chairs, and a personal fireplace right outside. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and offered extra towels and blankets when we needed them. The pool and hot tub area stayed very clean and well cared for. I was pleasantly surprised by the shared bathrooms. Each one is completely private, with its own shower and bathroom, so it felt much more comfortable than I’d expected. We’ll be back to Surrey Resort whenever we’re in Guerneville!

The food is truly remarkable, and the staff are awesome even though they’re juggling a lot. If the cafe is open, try the panini. It’s one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Great experience, and a nice gym too.

I mostly come to Surrey Resort for the gym and pool. Both are reliably clean, well maintained, and relaxing, just what I want when I’m trying to look after myself. It’s quietly become one of my favorite places in town.

The pool was nice, though the hot tub jets weren’t working. My tent was right by the building, and check-in was easy. There are only a few bathrooms and showers, but I never had trouble finding one. Even over the 4th weekend it was quiet at night, and the comfortable bed meant I slept really well.
