HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS & SUITES GULF BREEZE - PENSACOLA AREA by IHG

Sandra and Ms. Davis handled the TV problem with tremendous service and professionalism, even though I may not have been very nice about it after the TVs stopped working. The provider change and its poor scheduling meant there was no TV during our stay, which did affect my mood. I can’t rave enough about this Holiday Inn, though. It was a great experience during a chaotic wedding weekend. I was there for a wedding and got a very spacious room, even though I hadn’t requested one. Having the room near an exit also made loading and unloading much easier. I was really happy with the extra space since it helped me get ready.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a full spread, wonderful coffee, and interesting guests. People mingled as if it were a family and friends’ vacation. The staff were wonderful, and John at the front desk was friendly, professional, and accommodating. There were fresh baked cookies in the lobby, too. I was impressed as soon as I walked in. My room was clean, inviting, and very nice. I stayed four days and enjoyed every moment, and I’ll stay longer next time. It’s in Gulf Breeze, just five minutes from the bustle of Pensacola Beach, and the price was great. I recommend checking it out for yourself.

The rooms were fine, a standard IHG setup, and mine had some extra space. The pool looked nice, too. With no TVs, it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop in the hallways, or conversations. I really wanted to watch a hockey game, though, and was bummed there was no cable. They say they’re “working on a solution,” but some people say it’s been over two weeks without cable. It’s not the end of the world, but come on. I’d rate the hotel higher if the cable problem hadn’t dragged on so long.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel. MICHELLE was such a joy to talk with during the meal, a very nice lady. We checked in Friday with JOHN, who was great and gave us some good places to go. Love this place!
