Quality Inn & Suites Hagerstown

I asked for a refund and left right away after telling the front desk what I’d found. A couple waiting to check in followed me out soon after. The desk attendant was nice, but the hallways smelled like weed and cigarettes, had wall stains, and music was blaring from several rooms. My bathroom wasn’t clean, there were bugs that I assume were roaches, the comforter had burn holes, and the bedside lamp didn’t work. Someone outside was also lurking and asking people for money.

On earlier stays, the bed was comfortable, which makes this even sadder. Staff are extremely rude, and it feels like a halfway house when you have no other options. There’s illegal activity on the property all night. I heard at the desk that long-term residents get special treatment, room-rate arrangements, and grace periods so they don’t have to leave with their belongings. They accused me of having a pet I didn’t have, then demanded a large fee and another deposit. You get what you pay for, I learned that the hard way. If you want real hospitality and a relaxing stay, go somewhere else.

Check the room before you settle in. Ours was clean, but there was mold on the bed and chair, and the sink and shower drain stoppers were broken. Breakfast for guests was a joke, one of the worst places I’ve seen that serves breakfast.

The hallways reeked of smoke, and roaches were crawling everywhere, on the floor, the bed, even in the shower. This is a horrible hotel. Don’t come here.
