Quality Inn & Suites Hammond, IN

Hetal Chauhan, the General Manager, was so warm and kind, and her hospitality made the stay even better. I ended up extending because the place was comfortable, clean, and smelled fresh. The amenities were a nice extra, and the TV was a good size. The microwave and refrigerator were clean too. There’s complimentary breakfast, though I didn’t get to try it. I’d definitely recommend this property.

We were in town at the last minute for a funeral in Gary and chose this place because it cost less than our usual options about two minutes away. Based on the reviews, we took a chance and were pleasantly surprised by how clean and comfortable it was. The staff were kind and helpful whenever we dealt with them. I wondered if the club next door might cause noise, but the hotel and area were quiet. The only sound we noticed was a guest pulling up under our window with loud music. We didn’t try breakfast, though it smelled good. The location made it easy to get to food and shopping, and we’d stay here again.

I stay here whenever I’m in town. It’s quiet and good for relaxing, and the rooms don’t have that funky smell. The person working the night check-in is especially sweet. Breakfast is the usual spread: waffles, a few pastries, a couple of cereals, yogurt, and fruit. They switch between biscuits and gravy one day and another option the next.

Breakfast was pretty good, especially the waffles and bagels. The rest of the stay was ordinary, nothing that really stood out. The room got uncomfortably hot in the middle of the night, much warmer than the 71 setting. I turned off the heat, but it stayed warm for hours, so I’m not sure what was going on. The mattress was uncomfortable too, and my wife woke up with a sore hip.
