The Hampton Maid

I've been returning to the Hampton Maid Inn for over 15 years. I've watched it grow and get upgrades, with the same care for details, and the property keeps getting better. The staff are always warm and accommodating, and the grounds are beautifully maintained, clean, and relaxing. This Labor Day weekend was one of my best visits. It feels like home every time, and to me it's the best stay in the Hamptons. I love it so much I wish there were a late-night food option, or maybe a cozy lounge where the evenings could go on a little longer.

We had a fabulous Columbus Day weekend in room 26, which was perfectly located. It had two queen beds and rocking chairs on the porch. The happy hour tapas were excellent. Mateo at the front desk was wonderful, and Kurt, our happy hour waiter, was friendly and knew his stuff.

That King room felt like our own cottage, with a porch, two rocking chairs, and a water view over the lawn. We were near the pool and everything else, and the bed was comfy. The service was friendly, and we enjoyed tapas at happy hour and shopping at the lovely gift shop, where I bought clothes. Best breakfast ever! My one suggestion: serve filtered water at breakfast instead of making people buy bottled water. The chemicals in Long Island tap water are horrible.

We'd eaten breakfast at The Hampton Maid many times and always found the food delicious and top notch, with wonderful service. This was our first overnight, and we slept great in the very comfortable bedding. The room was immaculate and pretty, almost chalet-like, with lovely hygiene products. The grounds and pool were beautifully kept, and the rooms are nicely placed on the property, with rocking chairs on the front porches. Our only issue was the sink and mirror being outside the bathroom. That's not our preference. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay and look forward to returning.
