Studio 6 Extended Stay - Hampton, VA - Langley AFB Area

The staff are some of the nicest I’ve talked to, but this place is a dump. There are cockroaches everywhere, no joke, some as big as my thumb. Fire alarms keep going off, the laundry machines are outdated and almost caught fire, and people don’t clean up after their dogs. I’ve also had several people approach me trying to sell substances, sketchy broken electronics and other stuff. The staff are extremely nice, but the hotel is still incredibly dirty. Sad.

The hall floors are filthy, roaches come out of the walls, and fungus nets are coming out of the drains. If you need somewhere to live badly enough, you may try to put up with it, but seeing roaches gets exhausting if you’re not used to it. I don’t know who’s writing the reviews. They seem deceptive, as if they’re from employees or people accustomed to roaches and holes in the walls. Staff and management live at the hotel, and if YOU COMPLAIN THEY WILL PUT YOU OUT. They also need somewhere to live, so they’ll protect that place with their life. Their housing depends on it, just like everyone else there.

The location was really convenient, and the young man at the front desk was great. But the room smelled stale, like it had definitely been a smoking room before, and it wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. The mattress was awful and should’ve been replaced months ago. As we were leaving, my wife had to tell the front desk guy there was a dog turd in the hallway, I’m assuming from a dog. It’s an extended-stay property, so take that for what it’s worth.
