Western Inn & Suite Hampton

We had to stay in the room, but I didn’t feel comfortable charging my electronics because the lights kept flickering. I just didn’t trust it.

The room smelled bad. The towels were dingy and stained, the sheets were stained, and the comforter had holes. Everything looked very outdated. The lamps didn’t work, and neither did the outlet by the sink.

Joy was great at the front desk, with a big smile and a really good attitude. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to check us in. The hair dryer didn’t work, which I was really counting on, and the toilet seat was very loose. We didn’t mention it during the stay, but hopefully maintenance will tighten it before we come back next year.

I’d give this place zero stars if I could. They keep deleting my Google review, but I’m going to keep posting so people know what happened. We booked two rooms with queen beds for two nights. When we arrived, we were told those rooms weren’t available and were given one room with two twin beds instead. I tried to get the manager to sort it out, but they were nasty and rude, saying it was nonrefundable and not their problem. We were exhausted and decided to rest, hoping the next day would be better. It wasn’t. At 3 am, there was noise from both sides. The next morning, my kids and I woke up with rashes. Thankfully, we hadn’t slept under the cover or touched the pillows. The restroom was incredibly filthy, and even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking place, it smelled bad. The property was disgusting, with roaches and bedbugs, and a disturbing odor. We booked our second night somewhere else. They charged us $380, and some of our belongings went missing. I’m glad I listened to my gut and took my valuable things. Spend your money elsewhere.
