Windjammer By The Sea

They keep the rooms really clean and tidy, and the staff are so welcoming. The beds are made every day, too. The rooms are dated, with oddly low toilets, an old sink and oven unit that still works, and floors that aren't level. Still, for a well-priced little motel by the ocean, it’s hard to complain. The pool is on the small side, but there are tons of beach chairs, and it’s refreshing to take a quick dip before lounging. I heard there might be scones tomorrow. Either way, definitely recommend this place.

We only needed somewhere to sleep and shower between days out, so the small room worked fine for the price, especially with hardly any rooms left along the shore. We arrived late Friday after my other half spotted an opening for a last minute end-of-summer getaway. The owners' mother greeted us, checked us in, and handed us warm scones. She was super friendly, and the place was quiet. There's a nice yard with a couple of grills, and I know they have larger rooms with kitchenettes, too. The beach is right across the street, and the boardwalk is a short drive or a nice walk away. I was really happy with the choice and would stay again.

Coffee and scones in the morning made staying at the Windjammer feel like a dream. The staff were incredibly helpful, and I had such a great time that I extended my stay twice. I brought my girlfriend from LA to visit, and we had everything we needed in the coolest little room. I'd recommend paying extra for a top-floor ocean-view room, it's worth it. I'd choose this place over anywhere else in New England. Best option hands down, and I'll be back, 110%.

The view from the deck was incredible. I spent some time there alone, sipping wine and watching the ocean, and it made a perfect end to my 40th birthday. We were already planning another visit before we left. Rick and Ann are such gracious hosts, and you can tell they care about their guests by how well they maintain the motel and check in to make sure people are enjoying their stay. Rick told me he sleeps in the winter. The rooms are quaint and clean, like walking into my grandmother's house. The price is hard to beat, and the beach is right across the street, in an unbeatable spot on North Beach in Hampton. And don't miss Ann's biscuits.
