Motel 6 Los Angeles - Harbor City

The rooms have private parking, with a grocery store and gas nearby, and the place welcomes everyone, including pets and kids. Front desk and housekeeping were friendly and accommodating. It's just off 110. Some rooms are beat up, but I prefer the laminate floors to the gross carpet at nearby places for similar rates. I've seen them spray for bugs after some guests checked out, which might explain the strong smell in a few rooms. I haven't seen any bugs myself. I do clean my room 😉

Room 221 smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and it even came through the AC. It was hard to breathe and sleep. I worried I'd gotten cancer from secondhand smoke. Less than an hour after arriving, a roach was crawling beside the bed. The floors were so disgusting I had to keep my shoes on, and one pillow had a yellow stain. I was glad I brought my own blankets because I couldn't use the ones there. There's no fridge, microwave, iron, shampoo, or anything else. Just the bare minimum. Never again.

The rooms are clean and nice, and everyone has been so helpful and kind, from the manager and front desk to the maids and maintenance man. I can only say good things about this motel 6 and its staff. Thanks for always making my stays enjoyable.

The room was really comfortable, and everything was exceptionally clean. I was a little nervous about bed bugs after hearing so many hotel rumors, but there were no problems. The price was just right with the military discount. A++ again, and thanks. You'll see me again and again.
