Rodeway Inn

I paid $60 plus tax for a king room, but it was nowhere near worth that price. The furniture looked like it had been picked up off the street. The loveseat looked as if it belonged on the porch of a run-down house in a bad neighborhood. The top blanket had nasty stains, and the shower wasn't clean, with mold or mildew along the bottom of the curtain. The room smelled horrible, and the shower water kept going from warm to cold to scalding hot, so it was hard to regulate. The place seemed like the kind of hotel where people go to turn tricks. I've stayed in hotels for the same price that were much cleaner and better quality.

We complained and the nice woman at the front desk gave us a 50% discount, but we still left and went elsewhere. The bathroom was dirty, falling apart, and seemed unsafe. The room was okay for cleanliness, but smelled bad. Breakfast was sparse, and the hotel felt sketchy. It was cheap, but you get what you pay for in quality. I wouldn't bring family or a group here. If you're traveling alone, don't care much, or are looking for a place to hook up, it might be okay for you.

The tub was dirty, there was mold on the wall, and the mattresses showed signs of bedbugs. We told the worker, who moved us just two doors down to a room that was even worse. Some rooms also had boarded-up windows. When we asked for a refund, we were told to come back the next day at 11 for the manager. We did, but another worker said the manager would be there at 1. We were already unhappy by then. We spoke to the manager and got a full refund. We also contacted the company that owns the hotel, and they said they would check it out.

There were glass shards in the drawer between the beds, the room wasn't cleaned to a proper standard, and the bathroom wall was coming off. The shower and sink were dirty, the beds had burn marks, and the sheets had holes. This was one of the worst stays of my life. I'd suggest staying at one of the other hotels on the street, though they also have poor customer service. I'll be contacting the hotel's corporation to tell them how poorly this was handled.
