We’ve had people walk into our room at 2am. The elevator barely works, boxes are left around the hotel, and the front desk staff don’t answer the phones, though they’ll go outside to smoke weed. The whole bottom floor smells like weed as soon as you walk in. I’m pretty sure the manager, who stays in a room at the hotel all day and doesn’t do crap, is the reason for that smell. My husband is a Union Journeyman Lineman who’s been working in LA since September of 2025, and he stayed at this hotel every week. He was a very loyal paying customer. When the job ended and he was laid off, he checked in Monday and checked out Tuesday before the 11am checkout time. We asked the manager to refund the money for the three days he wouldn’t stay, but he wanted to charge us for that second day even though my husband had checked out before checkout time. I requested the refund on booking and was told it would take 24 hours. I contacted the hotel twice to ask when the manager would refund us. Each time, I was told, “well I text him, we are in a groups chat with the other employees.” I called the number I was given and got nowhere, then finally called booking. They said we should only be charged for one day, not two, since my husband checked out before checkout time. booking contacted the hotel too and heard the same “well I did text him,” followed by “oh he said he can’t do it right now he is busy.” He’d already had 24 hours to take care of it. Basically, don’t book here. I told booking they could refund me or I’d report it as fraud. I did get my money back. We paid for the one night he stayed, and that was it. Pretty sure the manager wanted to pocket the money somehow, so please run!

Jarvis has been very helpful with our stay, and I appreciate him so much. But I’ve been given the runaround several times while trying to get this resolved. The email I just sent to the general manager says a lot about what we’ve been dealing with.

The staff were amazing and helpful, but management let us down. We had a terrible four-night stay, with too many problems piling up. We kept getting locked out by faulty key cards, and the room was filthy and smelled bad, with cockroaches in it. Towels had holes, the bathroom lock didn’t work, and breakfast was rationed with very few choices. I have low standards for hotels, but this was an exception.

Don’t book online. Call first to check whether they actually have a room. I made an online reservation, but when I arrived, the young man said none were available. He told me I hadn’t been charged, but my bank statement showed the charge, and the hotel refuses to return my money for a room I NEVER STAYED IN. I keep being told they have to investigate, and there’s never a manager to speak to or one on site. I was promised a manager would call, but that never happened. I also went back and spoke with a young lady, who photographed my confirmation number, booking reservation, and bank statement. She said she’d send them to the manager and they’d call within 2-3 business days. I still haven’t heard anything. The front desk guy said a lot of rooms were out of commission. I don’t understand what the conflict is. This feels very scammish. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.
