Hampton Inn Greensboro-East

The room was clean and quiet, the bed was good, and I didn’t have any problems. What made the stay especially great was Tonya, the front office manager. She gave me such a warm welcome and was one of the kindest hotel staff members I’ve met. She’s a real treasure, and I’d recommend staying here for the welcome and service I got from her.

The toilet wouldn’t flush, there was a dead fly on the sink, and the floor had barely been swept or vacuumed. I asked one of the cleaners to have my room cleaned, but housekeeping never came. I also hated the sliding bathroom door. It was so disgusting I might as well have stayed in the woods.

The staff are really friendly, and the rooms are nice and clean. It’s quiet both inside and outside, and breakfast is better than average, with fresh fruit and some good choices. We pass through Greensboro a few times a year and will probably stay at Hampton Inn again.

The staff were very nice, but the room was a mess. Things seemed fine until we opened the sofa bed and found used sheets and a blanket, along with somebody’s worn night shirt. I told the staff that night. The cleaning people had already left, but they gave me fresh sheets to change the bed. When I pulled off the old sheet, crumbs went everywhere. The mattress was stained, and underneath it I found a ton of crumbs and broken plastic utensils. I asked for another room the next morning. The person at the desk was nice and said they were booked for the second night, but promised to have the cleaning people come in. When we got back that night, the room still hadn’t been cleaned.
