I spent six weeks here on a dare, and the place really is horrifically nasty. Don't trust staff promises that something broken will be fixed in a certain number of days. My door didn't work until I took it apart and replaced the batteries twice. Before that, I had to leave it propped open or hope someone in the office could let me into my room, at any hour. I went without a stove, oven, freezer, fridge, table, and heat for the whole stay, though I did get a fridge in my last week. I found a tiny hidden spy camera in the garbage when I arrived. There was also toilet paper stuffed into holes and cracks around the room, maybe 30 wads altogether. Creepy. Check your room for cameras if you come here. I don't regret staying for what I paid, and I got my deposit back, but keep your expectations low. I've stayed in homeless shelters and trap houses that were ten times cleaner.

The receptionist was nice, but my room wasn't ready when I checked in after 3 p.m. I waited an hour. I'd already paid, and I didn't want to deal with the hassle of trying to get a refund again. The halls smelled of weed and cigarettes, and my supposedly non-smoking room reeked of smoke. The tables were sticky, the shower curtain was stained and filthy, and the shower kept dripping because it wouldn't shut off completely. The towels stank, and the extra toilet paper I asked for never arrived. I didn't feel safe asking again. My little family and I stayed three nights over Memorial Weekend. We're not from nearby. After dark, people stood around and wandered outside like zombies. It seemed guests let others in and out day and night, while management did nothing. It also seemed that around 70% of the guests were local. Sometimes it's better not to ask.

I was told by phone, more than 24 hours before arrival, that there was no deposit to book. At check-in, another attendant said the deposit was $100. I'm grateful she didn't charge it, because the rooms were in such poor shape. Room 211 had no towels, TV, or trash cans, the bed hadn't been stripped, the pillows had no cases, and the window was wide open, leaving the room freezing. I reported it and was moved to 206. That room was cleaner and didn't smell like cigarette smoke, but the bed looked used and remade rather than changed, and there was a cigarette burn in the fitted sheet. Bags of trash and empty cans were left around, along with things from the previous guest, including Tylenol. I didn't get towels or a trash can until the next day. I paid over $100 for a full day and expected better. The tub was stained and disgusting, walls were marked, and hair clips and clothespins held the curtains together. Staff cursed loudly where guests could hear, at all hours until their shift ended at 10 p.m. They also ignored people entering without masks, despite a sign requiring them. I was told to pay cash, but I haven't felt comfortable enough to sleep and will try to get a refund. This has been the worst place I've stayed.

The first room was disgusting: half an Imo's pizza on the table, hot wings left in the sink, and a huge urine stain on the bed. I went straight to the desk, and the employee apologized and quickly moved me to a clean, nice room. They said housekeeping had a problem that day, and the quick, helpful response earned them an extra star from me. The hotel was pretty quiet overnight, and checkout was easy.

The second floor smelled strongly of weed. My sheets hadn't been changed, bugs were crawling on the floor, and the bathtub was dirty and wouldn't hold water even with a stopper. I asked to switch rooms, but had to call my bank to get reimbursed. The listing showed a clean room and a good hotel, but that was a lie.
