Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Cincinnati Airport, KY

The shuttle driver was the standout. He was friendly and on time, then went above and beyond after I dropped my phone in the shuttle on the way to the airport. He returned to the hotel and tried calling my husband, but couldn’t reach him, then came back to the airport to search for me. Luckily he spotted me waving frantically, and the whole thing was sorted within minutes. The front desk employee had also been helpful and kind during check-in. Our room was clean and the property was in nice condition. I’d recommend it for an easy stay near the airport.

There was a mildew smell in the room, along with a wasp and a nest. When we told the attendant, they said the person who handles that had gone home and would take care of it the next day. The nest was never removed.

For my first of what will be many stays in the area, I picked this hotel. It wasn’t bad for the price, but it wasn’t great either. Free breakfast was convenient and the customer service was good. The bed felt a little hard, the curtain had stains, and the showerheads were rusty or hadn’t been cleaned or oxidized lately. You get what you pay for here.

The room was clean when we arrived, which turned out to be the only part of the stay that felt worth it. The pool was a major reason we booked, but the hotel website never said it was closed. Staff told us it would open in a day, then we later learned it had been closed the whole time. That felt misleading and was really frustrating. Housekeeping never came by during our stay, so room service was basically nonexistent. The hall carpets were filthy and stained, and clearly needed a deep clean. The gym was a small, basic space, not terrible but nothing special. Between the inaccurate website information, the unhelpful answers from staff, and the neglected feel of the property, the clean room at the start was the one highlight. It wasn’t worth the hassle or disappointment.
