Finger Lakes Waterfall Resort

The private waterfall area and the views were a lovely surprise at a very reasonable price. The rooms were clean and the shower was hot, so don’t judge the place by how it looks from outside. The owner and staff were friendly, knew the area, and seemed to care about our stay. One heads-up for bikers: the entrance is sloped gravel, so take care pulling in. Go past the office and park on the paved surface to unload your gear easily. We found the place at the end of a day of riding and would stay again in a heartbeat.

The view was a real plus, both from the patio and from the private chair area beside Hector Falls. But getting there was difficult, especially at night when the entrance was hard to spot, and the drive down to the lower rooms needs work. Our room had a nice bathroom, but felt damp and the mattresses were too soft for us. I wouldn’t stay again until those problems are fixed.

We had a lakeside room with lovely views of the lake and Hector Falls, and the staff were super friendly with lots of local suggestions. The room and bathroom were clean, towels were replenished daily, and the bed was made each day with fresh sheets. My photos came out dark, and I took them after we’d checked out, so the bed looks unmade in them. This place was much cheaper than many nearby options, and I’d highly recommend it.

The chairs and hammocks by the waterfall are what made our stay special. Make time to spend a night or two here for that. The place has an old-time feel, and while the outside could use some updating, it’s clear work is underway. Our room stayed clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. We really enjoyed it.
