Residence Inn by Marriott Las Vegas South/Henderson

The front desk staff were nice, and the kitchenette had what I needed, though I’d bring oil and spices if you plan to cook. The room itself was spacious with plenty of storage, and parking was manageable. I stayed five nights for work. There are lots of good places to eat nearby, and you can walk to them if you don’t mind going along a busy road. Breakfast had decent options, but it upset my stomach each time. I can’t say why. Housekeeping also left me without towels and a trash bag after the first visit, then replaced the towels on the next visit but took the whole trash can. Still, it was a good stay.

The gym is small, but handy if you want to keep up your routine while traveling. Staff were especially friendly and suggested places to shop and how to get there. I spent five days visiting the area and found the room clean, roomy, and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast had a wider range of good options than I’ve seen at some other hotels. I had a very pleasant stay.

I arrived just before 2 a.m. after putting an approximate 1:30 a.m. arrival time in the Marriott app and requesting a mobile key during check-in. The entrance was locked. I pressed the buzzer three times over about ten minutes, then tried calling, but nobody answered. I couldn’t get into the hotel or use my reservation. After I messaged through the app, an employee apologized and said they may have been in the restroom or dealing with something else. The hotel canceled the stay without charging me. The employee’s failure to answer the calls and door buzzer was negligent. If they had issued the mobile key I requested, I could have entered my room regardless of what the employee was doing, even if they were asleep.

The breakfast was just okay, but we’ve stayed here several times and would gladly come back.
