The shower handle wouldn't switch the water over to the showerhead, though the water itself ran. When I mentioned it at checkout, the front desk woman just said sorry and wished me a good day. No offer to help or make things right. Earlier, three channels we wanted to watch were too pixelated and laggy to use. There was also an old pizza box in the fridge, which wasn't a big deal by itself. This stay wasn't cheap, and I've never had this many issues at a hotel like this. I usually choose Comfort Inn and Suites and wish I had this time. Very disappointed in Marriott. It felt like getting spoiled food at a nice restaurant and being handed the bill with only an apology.

The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful, and the pool was a hit with the kids who came with us. The room's shower curtain was too short to keep water in, and staff seemed to know about it when I asked. They could only offer extra towels for the floor. The TV came on, but the cable didn't work. The rooms could use an update, and the elevator was extremely slow, with one possibly out of service. I'd suggest staying at another hotel in the area.

The hotel could use an upgrade, but the shower pressure was absolutely wild, easily the best shower I've had at any Marriott. The place is decent otherwise, so that's where my five stars come from.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and I was surprised to see chorizo and potatoes. The staff were pleasant, and we had no problems. It's in a great spot and was clean overall, though you can tell it's aging. The hotel was quiet, but the walls are really thin. I'd stay again.

The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had plenty of space. We stayed a little over a month ago for our Carowinds trip, and the rates worked well for a room that fit five people. Breakfast was included and good. I'd come back if the hotels near Carowinds cost too much.
