Days Inn by Wyndham Henrietta/Rochester Area

I booked expecting a nice room that looked like the online photos, but that wasn’t what I found. Dust was everywhere, the carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time, and there were gaps in the molding around the doors that needed repair. The room was disgusting, and I didn’t feel safe at this location. It reflects badly on the Days Inn name. I’ll never stay here again and will discourage people I know from booking it.

I’d been staying at this motel and things were fine until the owner’s wife got involved in my agreement with the owner while he was out of town. I chose to check out instead of extending my stay because she didn’t want me to extend it. Her reason was apparently that the heat in my room was too hot. I’m a guest, and it felt like she was telling me how I could use the heat in my room. I’ve never smoked in the rooms or damaged them, but after being treated that way, this hotel has lost my business. Maybe they’ll get homeless people or drunks who need a room, but they passed up a good customer. I hope the owner realizes one day why they lose so much business.

The rooms were unclean and smelled of mold, and they didn’t seem habitable. The hotel staff weren’t very friendly, and the front desk attendant didn’t care. The place felt and looked abandoned: it was unkempt, the entrance wasn’t marked, the parking lot was empty, and some rooms were being used for storage. All night I felt like someone was watching us, so we left early. Minus two stars.

We only stayed because hotels in the area were booked and we didn’t have many other options. My husband and I were so disgusted we would have rather slept in the car, and we didn’t even shower because the shower looked so dingy. The towels smelled bad, there was no soap or shampoo/conditioner, and the furniture was in bad shape with tattered fabric. The room was humid and had a strong smoke smell, despite being labeled non-smoking. The negative reviews here are unfortunately right.
