Sunrise Inn Hershey

My mom booked two rooms for two nights while we were in town for a show at Hershey, and the condition of the rooms was awful. They smelled of cigarettes and marijuana, which was disgraceful with small children along. There was a bug crawling around, the floors were so dirty our socks turned brown, the blanket was basically a sheet, the sink dripped, and there was hair on the towels. The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets scratchy. We were also scared we might have picked up bugs. My sister found bites after the stay. I’ve never stayed somewhere more disgusting. With staff living there, there’s no excuse for it to be this filthy. The carpets need replacing and the rooms need a deep clean. I can’t recommend staying here.

I've been trying for days to reach you about canceling and getting my refund, which follows your policy. Please return my calls, emails, and messages. When someone finally answers, they promise a manager will call me back, but no call ever comes.

The smell in the room was horrible, and the water in ours had been turned off. People were obnoxious too, including the guests below us, who were loud and cussing. We stayed two nights and woke up the next day with bed bug bites. This place is a joke, and I won't be giving it any stars.

We barely slept after getting back from the concert late. When we turned on the light in the room, roaches scattered, and my friend's bed had a baby roach on it. I found a stain on my sheet, like it hadn't been washed, and took pictures of the roaches. The pool wasn't in working order either. In the morning, the towels were stained. I showed the pictures and a towel when I complained at checkout. She gave me a number to call, and the man I spoke to assured me he'd remove the charge. Two weeks later, it was still on my credit card. We had booked one night for the concert and only needed a clean room at a decent price. At check-in it seemed adequate, but we left right away for food and the show, so we only noticed the problems when we returned.
