My friend stayed at Dixie Hotel, and from the moment we came in, the place felt welcoming. The lobby was tidy and nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly and attentive. My friend said the room was roomy, well kept, and had what they needed, especially a comfortable bed after a long travel day. They also liked the range at the complimentary breakfast. The location made it easy to get to nearby attractions and places to eat. I didn't stay overnight, but the experience and my friend's comments would make me consider Dixie Hotel for a future visit.

For $1095.00, I got a larger room, and The Dixie hotel worked well while I was between places. The other tenants and visitors kept things quiet, and people were respectful and nice. Lucy the Manager is very sweet, and Juan is awesome. Get to know them, they’re really helpful.

The room smelled bad and was tiny. There was a roof leak, and I could see mold on the rafters where part of the ceiling had fallen. Buckets were left in the middle of the hallway. Parking was very limited, so I had to leave my car on a dark street where I couldn't see it. I also heard what sounded like gunshots. The homes nearby had barred windows and fenced yards. The gentleman I spoke with was polite, but his broken English made it hard to communicate about my reservation. I was told there were no rooms and couldn't stay, even though I had a reservation.

Lucy runs the place, and she’s as sweet as can be, though she doesn't tolerate nonsense. It's a good, clean, safe spot to stay while getting settled in Miami. Druggies and drunks aren't allowed.

I spent a few months here while looking for a bigger apartment and had no complaints. The rooms are small, but they suited me fine as a solo adventurer. Management was a pleasure, and the other people staying there were cordial.
