Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus Hilliard

I’m staying at Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus-Hilliard right now, and I’m impressed by the difference good training and a good location can make. Every employee I’ve dealt with has been kind, attentive and welcoming. From the front desk to housekeeping, they’re sweet and professional, and clearly take pride in their work.

We were here for a soccer tournament, and the hotel did the job for the night. The bed was okay, but the rooms felt dated and the whole property needs a refresh. The bathroom was worn, and the sleeper sofa had visible stains, so we couldn’t use it. They allow dogs too, which struck me as odd. This wasn’t up to the Hampton standard I expect.

The staff were kind, and breakfast was really nice. I especially liked that there were grab-and-go options for people heading out early. There’s also a nice little indoor pool. The room floors were uneven, and it was clear the mini fridges had leaked over the years, so the rooms could use updating. It was a decent, pretty good-quality hotel. Nothing fantastic, but nice enough, and I’d go back.

The beds were decent, but the room needed some attention. The cabinet door over the fridge was broken, and the area beside the fridge needed cleaning. The toilet flush was ridiculously loud. There were lumps under the hallway carpet too, which could be a trip hazard.
