The Spotted Bass room turned out to be just right for my husband, son, and me, even though we’d thought about switching to a bigger one for our second night. We all slept really well, and there was a mini fridge and a good-sized shower. My husband had found the place on social media, and since we were traveling nearby, we decided to stop in. The tackle store has lots of hard-to-find stuff, and the staff are helpful about what’s biting. They also run fishing charters, but book well ahead: when we were there, they were already about two months out. The boat ramp is just 1.5 miles away, and we found groceries, restaurants, and other stores within about 15 minutes. We’d happily come back, and it’s worth a stop even if you’re just picking up bait.

The guided day with Dillon was a highlight. We caught quality fish steadily, and he took time to answer all our questions about fishing and the boat’s equipment. He shared what he knows and made it a great chance to learn. I spent six days at Talkin' Tackle with a buddy who came all the way from North Idaho, and we had a great time. Dillon, Tanner, and Greg went out of their way to help us have the best trip possible. Greg and Tanner kept sharing useful tips, and it was clear they wanted to help, not just sell tackle. Our room was clean and well kept, with everything we needed. We could park the boat in the garage or under the carport, and there was always a power cord handy to charge it. The location worked perfectly, about a five-minute drive from a top-notch boat launch with no fee. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

Greg was generous and really helpful. The shop was stocked with just about everything you could need for fishing, including small and very large live minnows. I’ve never had a dead one from them, and the prices are lower than Jack's on Bonny Oaks. I’d recommend this place 100%.

The owners were so friendly, and they always had coffee ready for me in the morning. My daughter and I checked in 9/3 with our two dogs, and they were very dog friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I don’t fish, but their tackle shop is top notch. 10 out of 10 for us, and we’ll be back. Lisa
