Shoreline Hotel Waikiki

Coming back to a clean room each day after being out all day for my girls' tournament was great, and we appreciated the daily cleaning. The woman who checked us in greeted us with such a warm smile and made everything quick and smooth. I didn't get her name, but thank you. The customer service was great, and we'd come back to the Shoreline for that alone. The location is super convenient, close to everything we needed. Parking cost a bit much, though it was still better than other places in Waikiki. The rooms are a little dated. We skipped the pool and walked a few minutes to the beach instead. Thanks, Shoreline Hotel, for a lovely stay. We'll be back.

It was a rainy, windy weekend, but being close to everything we needed helped. Across the street were food spots and a large Ross; a short walk away were Dukes Lane Market, Starbucks, Nordstrom Rack, and the famous International Marketplace. The kids liked the colorful lobby and the rest of the floor, and the front desk and valet staff were kind and courteous, with a real Aloha spirit. The front desk was also accommodating. We had a two-double-bed room with a small balcony and no view, which was fine since we don't usually sit outside. It was a bit tight, especially the bathroom, which had no counter space for toiletries. Still, the room and lobby were clean, a top priority for me when traveling. The hotel's online photos looked recent and matched its current appearance, unlike places that show old pictures. Great family stay, and you can't go wrong compared with nearby hotels.

The beach is only a three-minute walk away, and all the good restaurants and shops are nearby. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the valet was quick and easy. They also had beach towels, chairs, and floaters, which was probably the most convenient part for us. The rooms are basic, a bit like an adult spring break hotel, but have what you need. I spent ages deciding where to stay and, once I found the Shoreline, it felt like a gem. We'd stayed at nicer places on this trip, but everything was so easy here that we kept wanting to come back. We'd stay again in a heartbeat. My one suggestion is a plastic shower curtain since water got everywhere, though that was just a liner issue. And a shout out to Christie, who was the best staff member, so helpful and happy.

The hotel's bright colors felt fun and energetic and put us in a good mood. Rooms were basic but worked well for us, and they were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. If you want something fancy, this probably isn't the place. It's close to shops, the beach, restaurants, transit, and bus stops. We didn't mind being next to the elevator, but if noise bothers you, avoid those rooms. Staff told us about it, which we appreciated.
