Waikiki Circle Hotel

The website said beach chairs were complimentary, but we had to pay to rent them. Still, this is a good hotel for a short Waikiki stay, with nice rooms and great views. It’s an older place that seemed to have been renovated. For meals, I recommend Cheeseburger in Paradise for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We had a partial ocean view from the awesome outside balcony. The beach is right across the road, and parking costs extra, though it’s close and convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s drinking water and a microwave in the lobby. The rooms are older but clean, with comfortable clean beds. The shower stall is small but adequate, and they provided extra pillows when my husband needed them for his back. We’d stay again.

I stayed on a passover on 12/20/25, and I honestly can’t see myself choosing anywhere else in Waikiki. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with a beachy feel and great ocean views. The location is primo, staff are friendly, and there’s a pool. You walk in, take the elevator, and you’re at your room. My friends at the Hyatt next door paid almost three times as much and had to trek through in-house tourist traps to get to their room. To me, the room was only marginally better. This place costs a fraction of the surrounding hotels but still gives you the great location and some nice amenities. If you’re easy to please and want to save a few bucks, you’ll be thrilled with what you find. Expect something more and you may want to pay double and stay elsewhere.

The staff were truly very nice, and the hotel is in a good spot on the Waikiki strip near shops, food courts, and the beach. But the room cost wasn’t worth it. The sliding balcony door wouldn’t shut unless lifted and pulled, and after I changed rooms, the new one was by the stairs, where doors slammed day and night. The TV didn’t work right, so they replaced it, and the bathroom vent was broken and smelled moldy. The hotel needs an upgrade. I was told there was a gym, but there wasn’t one. I also didn’t know I’d have to pay taxes each day, other daily taxes for my four-night stay, and a nightly insurance fee. These extra charges made no sense to me, and I was caught off guard by all the hidden fees.
