MainStay Suites Prince George - Fort Lee

Within 3-5 minutes of entering the room, I was back outside asking for a refund. I wasn't going to stay there with my children. The room was dirty: a dead cockroach, hair across the floor, no toilet paper anywhere, trash by the bed, stains on the counters and tops from old drinks, and a dirty fridge with a spilled drink. There were also stains in the bed. It looked like the room hadn't been cleaned, or the mess had been ignored since the bed looked made. The fire sprinklers didn't work. Was I supposed to call 911 if there was a fire? How can a hotel stay open without a working sprinkler system? This was on 3/19. If I could give it a zero, I would.

I've stayed at this specific Mainstay location twice, and both times the rooms have been very clean and the front desk receptionists very nice. This visit stood out because Erica was so helpful and welcoming. My flight arrived at 8 AM, though check-in wasn't until 3 PM. Even with very limited early check-in availability, she found me a room, and it was better than I'd hoped for. I can't thank her enough for sparing me a long wait. She's the epitome of customer service, truly generous and kind. I've had nothing but good experiences here, and I'll definitely come back.

We were dropping our son off for his Army AIT at Fort Lee, and he got a 24-hour pass to spend off base with us. The hotel is just a few minutes from base, close to everything we needed, and offers military discounts. The staff were so nice and went above and beyond even though they didn't have to. The front desk clerk was unbelievably helpful and kind. We'll be back in a few months for our son's AIT graduation, and we're definitely staying here again.

No remote, no coffee maker, and even with three of us staying, they wouldn't give us extra towels. Huge water bugs had me screaming when I got up to pee at night. On top of that, the older melanated worker wouldn't speak to me, though she talked to every other Caucasian person. The only difference was that I had biracial sons. She should keep her hate inside the four walls of her home. Go to sleep inn instead. It's a better hotel in the area. This one was cheaper over New Years, and now I see why. Disgusting behavior. I wonder if she even knows the Bacon Rebellion history of her area.
