Country Inn Lake Resort

We loved the rooms and the beautiful lake view. At night, hearing the gentle sound of the water was so soothing. We stayed two nights as a family, using two different rooms. Check-in was smooth, and instructions arrived right after booking. The rooms looked lovely, everything in the kitchen and the other amenities was well maintained, and cleanliness was top-notch. For the price I paid, I couldn’t ask for more. We’d like to come back.

The room was in awful shape, especially for $500 for four nights. There was food on the floor and on silverware in the drawer. Strips of wallpaper were peeling into the shower, the sheets and pillowcases had large brown stains, and the bedspread and floor were stained too. Wiping the floor with a damp cloth left it black. Dust was everywhere, and the TV looked like it came from the 90s. There was no office or service on site, the hot tub listed in the details wasn’t available, and the vending machines were empty. The cleaning staff were hostile. The website photos showed fresh, updated rooms, so I thought this would be a perfect quick getaway for my daughter and her fiancé. The owners’ or management’s portrayal of the place is outrageous. Even Motel 6 has more amenities. See the photos for a firsthand look.

The room was clean, the kitchen had what we needed, and it was a good value. Things were going well until the neighbors started smoking on the balcony. Maybe smoking there shouldn’t be allowed anymore.

The room inside was cute, the bed was really comfortable, and the lake view was nice. The facility is pretty run down, though, and the deck needed a good sweep and hose-down. There isn’t much else nearby.
