Budget Host Inn Stafford - Houston

A family member of mine, a single mother with a toddler, was staying here because of the hurricane and using FEMA assistance. The hotel told her it was no longer accepting FEMA and that she’d have to pay herself, which she did a few times. But FEMA was still helping people pay for rooms. When we called the manager and I raised the issue, he hung up on me right away. I kept trying to reach him, and he repeatedly answered only to hang up. Shame on them for taking advantage of people who need help.

I’m no poet, but if you need somewhere to stay away from home while you’re traveling with a little luggage, Budget is worth it. I had a nice stay and enjoyed the staff. Everything was nice. Thanks so much, Budget Inn.

I come back whenever I’m in town for work. The owners are friendly, and the staff are awesome, helpful, and courteous. My room was clean and quiet, and there are stores, food options, and a bus line nearby. There’s a good choice of quick places to visit while you’re staying here. Great place, and I’ll be back.

The room smelled nice when we first walked in, but it was dirty and run down. There were stains all over the filthy chair, the computer chair’s leather was peeling, and the fridge cabinet door wouldn’t close. The mirror above the sink had a white stain, the floor was dirty and marked, and the walls were grimy and scuffed. The bed was hard and squeaky. The whole room needs an overhaul. From the traffic outside, this place seems more like somewhere to bring a hookup. I won’t stay here again.
