Sonesta ES Suites Houston Galleria

Breakfast had a good selection, and parking was free, with cameras monitoring the lot around the clock. We paid $130 for the night and were asked for a $50 deposit. The hotel is in a safe part of Houston. The room had a slight musty smell, scuffed walls, gaps around the door, and a top lock that barely worked. There were two black hairs on the bed linen, which was unpleasant. We also found only half a roll of toilet paper. At the desk, the man didn't mention Wi-Fi, and I had to ask specifically whether breakfast was included.

The location worked well for us, close to the water wall, the mall, and plenty of restaurants. The pool was a nice place to unwind during the hot Houston afternoons, and breakfast was complimentary, with plenty of hot and cold choices. Our suite was spacious, clean, and fresh smelling, with a layout that felt more like a home than a standard hotel room. We arrived at 4:00 AM after a terrible experience at another local place, needing somewhere safe and welcoming. The staff on duty were kind and efficient, and helped turn a stressful night into a comfortable one quickly. Everything in the suite, from the counters to the linens, looked spotless. Sonesta ES Suites Houston Galleria was a real help to us, and we’d gladly return. It felt like a good extended-stay option, whether you’re here for business, shopping, or simply need a place to settle in for a few days.

The people here are so friendly. Breakfast was better than at 5-star hotels, and parking was free. We had a big room with a little kitchen, fresh towels, a clean carpet, and a comfortable bed. Pets are welcome too. I'd definitely recommend it, and we'll be back with our dog.

The rooms were clean, quiet, and pleasant, and although the place is small, it never felt cramped. You notice the size a bit in the hallways. Houston has some of the wildest traffic I've dealt with while traveling. The TVs weren't working, but the guy made it up to us with a free Diet Coke. The Oscar Mayer wiener truck was parked outside, so apparently celebrities stay here! We'll come back when our annual event returns to Houston.
