The front desk lady was welcoming and gave us excellent customer service, and I did enjoy parts of my stay. But this place needs serious maintenance and deep cleaning. Room 306 had a heater that didn’t work, and the elevator was such a problem that we chose the stairs. The TV turned on and had sound, but no picture, so maintenance had to replace it. Breakfast was another frustration. There was barely anything left for us, and it felt like you’d have to get there right at 6 a.m. to have a chance to eat. Maybe they need someone to serve breakfast and keep an eye on how much is being taken. The eggs the attendant served were watery and undercooked, which could make someone sick.

The front desk representative was great and offered to move my reservation to a sister hotel. I regret turning that down. My room’s AC wasn’t working right, and it had stayed at 82 degrees since check-in. Every ice machine was out of order, there were no vending machines, and the marketplace had just one bag of Fritos. The signs all over the dining area made it clear there wouldn’t be breakfast in the morning. That helpful front desk service was the only good part.

I didn’t stay. After checking in and seeing the room, I started worrying that we wouldn’t be safe if someone broke in or there was a fire, so I checked right back out. I later read reviews mentioning cockroaches too. The room, number 306, had a broken bolt lock, no bathroom drain covers, chipped doors, holes and chipped paint on the walls, and cigarette burns on the divider. The brackets for the fire and CO2 detectors were there, but both detectors were missing from the ceiling. The windows weren’t sealed, so traffic was extremely loud. There were problems throughout the building. The elevator was missing all its hand bars, walls were damaged and needed touch-up paint, and wallpaper was peeling at the outside corners. The lobby smelled of marijuana. It was barely lit, as was the outside sign and parking lot, so I almost missed the turn even though the nearby hotels were lit up. The attendant was sitting on a phone with earbuds in. Do better, Choice Hotels, what the hell?!

I only booked here because the other hotels were full, and the place was disgusting. The counters clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned or even wiped down. There were roaches, so be very careful about bringing them home with you. Breakfast was nothing special, though the sausages were good, and the staff were friendly enough. The rooms and closets are spacious, and the property could have a lot of potential. But it feels neglected by both the staff and Choice Hotels, and it desperately needs a remodel. If you can, pick one of the many other hotels in the area. This one isn’t worth it.

This was probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The floor we were on smelled strongly of marijuana, and there was no airport shuttle. Everything seemed broken: the curtains were hanging down along with the closet doors, the ice makers didn’t work, and the shower sprayed more water outside the stall than inside. There was no hot water for tea, so you had to microwave a plastic cup. Absolutely terrible.
