Courtyard Houston Hobby Airport

The night auditor, Kristen, helped me out by letting me walk in at 1 a.m. after the Fairfield Inn down the street canceled everyone’s reservations without a reason or any remedy. I really appreciated this property stepping in during the other place’s management mess. It’s a well-maintained Gen 1 property, and the location works for the airport, though there isn’t much else nearby.

Angela is amazing! She’s so empathetic and treats guests with real care. You can tell how much she cares about her work, and her service is hard to put into words. They need more people like her.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the airport is very close. The neighborhood is rough, though, and the hotel itself is run down. I found a cockroach in my room, and wallpaper was peeling in several places. One night they wouldn’t open the bistro for food or drinks, saying occupancy was low. This place badly needs an overhaul. I’d avoid it.

The staff provided great service, and the location was fine for getting to other things. The building felt old and worn, though. Our room seemed clean, but the furniture was dated and it didn’t look like other Courtyard by Marriott rooms. The mold smell was really strong, so we were in and out in under five minutes.
