The room I was first given wasn't ready, but the staff were kind and friendly and switched me to another one without a problem. That room looked newer and had been updated. My issue was the cleaning and sanitizing: there was hair on the towels and floor, the floor didn't look thoroughly swept, and the bedspread seemed like it had been put back on from the last guest without washing. It wasn't a bad area, but I got what I paid for, and I probably wouldn't stay again because it's just not for me. I booked for one night.

On my second stay at this Days Inn & Suites, the front desk gave me the same room again, which I liked even more this time :). It's a very nice, clean hotel, with restaurants nearby and a great location for Downtown. They serve breakfast in the morning, and the front desk people are super nice. Based on my own stays, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a hotel near that area. Thanks to the people who manage it.

The room looked okay from outside, but inside the conditions were unacceptable. There were burn holes in the furniture, and I saw roaches coming out from behind the bed. I was in town for business and ended up leaving to sleep in my car because I couldn't stay in that environment. I'm requesting a refund and wanted to report the issue so it can be addressed for future guests.

We came for an Astros game over the weekend, and the location was great, only 12 mins from Daikin park. The room was clean and great, with no complaints. Breakfast was disappointing, though, with cold sausage and eggs. It's budget friendly, and I'd recommend it.

The owner was so congenial, almost like family. I was coming from Argentina to Houston for business and wanted an economical place to stay. The room was very clean and had new fixtures. I highly recommend this wonderful place.
