Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Kingwood/Houston

I was in Houston with my mother for a family funeral, and we’d never stayed here before. The staff were kind, attentive, and courteous, from housekeeping to the front desk, and made us feel at home. I especially appreciated that the staff speak both Spanish and English and treat people equally. Latinos definitely do it better! The whole hotel was incredibly clean, from the lobby and hallways to our room and bathroom. The rooms and property have been renovated recently, and they’re still making updates. Our room had a very well-equipped kitchen, and the gym was well equipped too. The pool was organized and extremely clean, and the bathrooms were spotless. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous, like a five-star breakfast. I’ve never stayed somewhere this clean. I’m beyond delighted with the service and plan to return whenever I visit Houston. The breakfast was the best part, with something different to eat every day, and the gym was really nice. We had a room with two large beds and a kitchenette. There was a divider between the little sofa and TV area and the rest, which gave us more privacy. My only complaint is that when the cleaning ladies came by with fresh towels, they didn’t change the trash bins.

The patio and terrace were beautiful, and I loved how the staff spoke both Spanish and English and treated everyone equally, regardless of race, color, nationality, or language. This was an amazing, magical stay, and I’d come back a thousand times. Definitely five stars. I came from Florida to Houston with my son after my sister passed away. From the moment we walked in, there was a special feeling everywhere. Everyone on staff was attentive, kind, helpful, and courteous. Our room was large and comfortable, with a kitchen and huge refrigerator, and it was impeccably clean. The bathrooms throughout were spotless too. The hotel has been renovated recently and they’re still working on it. Everything felt new, clean and fresh. The gym was beautiful, breakfast was delicious, and the pool was lovely and well organized. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’m so proud of how the staff made us feel. I appreciated the full bar during happy hour, and breakfast was good. I’d have liked more meat choices that weren’t pork. The room was clean, quiet, and well cared for, and parking was convenient and well lit. Staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating, especially when they helped me switch rooms. I’d happily stay again.
