The Reside

The room layout was nice and the location was good, but that’s where the positives ended. My brother, dad, and I stayed at the Reside for three days before moving on. The welcome basket had chips and candy that were months out of date, and a Twizzler nearly broke my teeth. The shower was filthy, with rust on the faucet, shower head, and liner bar, and the floor was so dirty my white slippers turned black almost right away. There wasn’t anything to clean with. Worst was the bed: the pillows, sheets, and mattress were yellow and stained, and the mattress looked like it had been salvaged from a child’s room after a hurricane soaked it. When I told the manager, she offered nothing. On our departure day she brought snacks for the road because she “felt bad” about the bed. I declined, figuring they might be out of date too. I won’t stay there again.

Erika was wonderful to work with. She responded quickly to my texts, even after we’d checked out and returned home. My family and I stayed at The Reside December 24-26, 2024, for Christmas and the Texans vs Ravens game. The condo was spacious enough for all four of us, clean, and had comfortable beds. I could cook Christmas breakfast and warm up the Christmas dinner I’d made ahead of time. We had a great time and would stay again on a future trip to the Houston area. I can’t recommend staying here. My unit had water damage throughout, along with mold, rust, dirt, dilapidated furniture, and dirty bedding. The whole property needs refurbishing.

The property was as described, clean, and had everything we needed. It was also only a couple of miles from the hospital, so staying at the Reside worked perfectly while we traveled with our lab for appointments at MD Anderson. We stayed a couple of nights and would come back.
