Deanna made my tour at Med Apartments in Houston, TX feel comfortable and stress-free. She was friendly, professional, and knew the place well. She showed me several options that matched what I was looking for and took the time to answer all my questions. Her attention to detail and willingness to help stood out. She gave excellent customer service from start to finish, and I highly recommend asking for Deanna if you’re looking for an apartment in the Houston area.

After moving out, they arbitrarily took a $125 “Full Clean” fee from our security deposit, even though I cleaned the apartment daily and left it spotless. It felt like they were making tenants pay for ordinary turnover cleaning. The elevators were another huge problem in this 35-story building. Several times, only one elevator worked, and I waited over 15 minutes for it to come down, making me late for class. As a Rice student, I’d heard awful stories from friends who lived here, but going through it myself was even more frustrating. It was easily my worst apartment experience. If you’re looking near the Medical Center, look elsewhere and save your sanity.

The building is beautiful and its location near MD Anderson and the other medical centers is what brought us here. Mohammed at the concierge desk is a gem, and the front door team and drivers are excellent. Pap has been especially thoughtful about getting patients to appointments, always polite and a real gentleman. Still, the price feels high for what residents get. Working remotely here has been a real struggle. Internet reliability depends on the apartment rental, and ours often won't support an important Teams call. Sometimes we can't even watch TV because the box says too many devices are on the account. The business center is tiny for a 35-floor building, with just two little closable cubicles and one conference room. You can hear calls from the next room, and the spaces are booked all day. I only managed to get one by arriving at 5 a.m., and even then the noise made it hard to work. Music in the shared spaces has turned into a recurring argument. When sales agents bring prospective clients through, they turn it up like a nightclub. A volume of 40 in the 35th-floor lounge makes it impossible to talk to the person beside you. At 15, it works fine as background music. We have raised this with the office, but the response depends on which agent is there, and one says it has to be loud because tours are coming. Even when residents moved upstairs to work after the business center was closed for a management meeting, the music kept being turned back up within 15 to 20 minutes of someone asking for it to be lowered. It can feel as though a possible sale matters more than paying residents. The elevators are another big problem. They often don't work, and there have been many days when only one of the four was running. I know technicians come weekly, but they remain unreliable. With 35 floors, that's a lot to deal with. Between the elevators, internet, and noise, this is very expensive for what you actually get.

The building itself would deserve five stars. It has beautiful views, great amenities, a fabulous rooftop pool, comfortable places to work, nice apartments, and consistently friendly, helpful front desk staff. I've stayed twice while my father was being treated at MD Anderson Cancer Center, once in summer 2025 and again from March to April 2026. My parents have been here continuously since January 2026. But getting around the building has been a serious daily problem. There are four elevators, and usually only two work. It can take 10 to 20 minutes to get on, and an arriving car is often full and stops on nearly every floor. My mother recently waited almost 20 minutes to come down from the rooftop pool before calling the front desk for help. For people staying here during medical situations, that's more than a minor annoyance. It's stressful and makes everyday tasks harder. I saw management reply to a January 2026 review that elevator repairs were a priority. It's April 2026 now and the problem remains. At these prices, dependable elevator access is a basic expectation. Months of outages in a high-rise are not acceptable. Management should explain publicly what they're doing and give a realistic repair timeline. Until this is fixed, I can't recommend the property at the level its pricing suggests.

The place feels clean, modern, and full of good energy. You can tell the staff care about residents and vendors, and we feel welcomed and appreciated whenever we're there. At Latitude at Med Center, the team is friendly and keeps move-in days organized, which makes the experience smooth and low stress for us. From the smiles in the office to how everything runs, we've had great experiences every time. We'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a place near the Medical Center.
